Tasks

At the Finnish Environmental Institute (Syke) I am a development manager in the Marine and freshwater solutions unit and head of Syke’s Jyväskylä office. I am my organization’s coordinator in the European research institute network PEER. I also function as convener of the European standardization CEN Work Group 28 “DNA and eDNA methods”, which belongs to the technical committee TC 230” Water quality”.

  • National representative in CEN TC 230/WG2 “Water quality” standardization and convener of WG28 “DNA and eDNA methods”
  • Member of the research coordinators of the PEER network
  • External member of the faculty council of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science of the University of Jyväskylä
