Project background and objectives
Data-driven approach for development of recycling ecosystem and advanced modelling of environmental performance (DREAM) -project is a part of SPIRIT programme that aims to drive the sustainability transformation of the plastic industry. The objective of the DREAM project is to study factors influencing the assessment and environmental performance of agricultural and industrial plastic products, guidances, value chains as well as impact categories to support planning, communication decision-making. Both the current state and future changes and needs are considered. In addition, the availability, transfer, transparency and traceability of information in the plastic ecosystem is examined.
Besides literature sources, information is gathered from interviews of value chain actors and governance representatives. As a result, a report with recommendations and a publication regarding traceability are produced.
Stakeholders
The project is ordered by Rani Plast Oy. In addition, the project is carried out in cooperation with Borealis and Muovipoli Oy.
